Superman in color

Ya había subido este dibujo a otra entrada de mi blog, pero en blanco y negro. Acabo de terminar de pintarlo con el Photoshop y la ayuda de una tablet que me prestaron. Espero que les guste el resultado final.

I uploaded this drawing a long time ago, but in black and white. I just finished coloring it in the Photoshop and with the help of a tablet that a friend lend me. I hope you like it.

Daredevil

Hice este dibujo hace un tiempo y no tengo el original porque lo vendí en Ebay, pero fue mi primer intento con este personaje que me parece interesante visualmente, especialmente por su iconografía religiosa.

Leaving Smallville

Hice este dibujo inspirado en la que para mí, es  una de las mejores historias  de Superman de todos los tiempos: Superman for all seasons, de Jeph Loeb y Tim Sale.
No soy muy afecto al estilo de Sale, pero creo que aquí, al menos inconscientemente, me influyo en la estructura corporal del personaje, más ancho y con menos líneas, al igual que el fondo. Espero que les guste.

I did this drawing based in Superman for all seasons, one of the best Superman books ever. The story was published in 1998, and it is from one of the best Superman authors, Jeph Loeb, and penciller, Tim Sale. I am not a Sale fan, but I can see now how his pencils affected me in this drawing. I hope you like it.

Hilltop Hero 8

Este es el octavo capítulo del comic que hice y que fue publicado en el diario de la St. Edwards University. Si no me equivoco fue el último que hice ese año, antes de las vacaciones. Luego retomé la historia al año siguiente. En estos dos últimos comics, nuestro héroe se da cuenta que no puede seguir siendo un agente del status quo (algo que le pasa a muchos superhéroes) y decide transformarse en una especie de defensor de la justicia social (al menos por estos capítulos, jajajaja). Espero que lo disfruten.

This is the last chapter of the comic I did for the St. Edward´s University newspaper, before the summer break. I try to add to the story a lot of social problems, because I was taking a class at the university that made me very aware of the injustices of capitalism. I hope you like it.
