Some Zombies for you - Algunos Zombies para vos

Ya sé que gracias a "The Walking Dead" los zombies son cool de nuevo, pero hice esta página hace unos seis años para una editorial independiente de Inglaterra. Se trataba de un comic llamado "Dead Woods". Hice sólo cinco páginas pero espero que les gusten.

I know that Zombies are cool again thanks to "The Walking Dead", but I did this page six years ago, for an independent English publisher. The comic was called "Dead Woods". I did only five pages, but I hope you like them. I will be posting all of them.

Hice este dibujo hace ya varios años. Está entintado por el genial Ryan Acosta. Creo que se trataba de una historia de magia y brujería relacionada con las Torres Gemelas. Espero que les guste.

I did this drawing some time ago. It was inked by Ryan Acosta. I think it was part of a story about sorcery and the twin towers. I hope you like it.

Hice estos dibujos hace un tiempo en un block de notas. Están hechos con una birome y muy rapido, pero me gustó como quedó el Clark Kent transformándose en Superman. Espero les agrade.

I was always fascinated by Hawkman, but it is really difficult to draw him. This is a sketch I did with a ballpen. Since you can´t erase it, you can´t make any mistake. I hope you like it.

Siempre me gustó mucho Hawkman, pero es muy difícil dibujarlo. Este es un sketch que hice con una birome. Como no se puede borrar, no se puede cometer ningún error. Espero que les guste.

Superman in color

Ya había subido este dibujo a otra entrada de mi blog, pero en blanco y negro. Acabo de terminar de pintarlo con el Photoshop y la ayuda de una tablet que me prestaron. Espero que les guste el resultado final.

I uploaded this drawing a long time ago, but in black and white. I just finished coloring it in the Photoshop and with the help of a tablet that a friend lend me. I hope you like it.

Daredevil

Hice este dibujo hace un tiempo y no tengo el original porque lo vendí en Ebay, pero fue mi primer intento con este personaje que me parece interesante visualmente, especialmente por su iconografía religiosa.

Leaving Smallville

Hice este dibujo inspirado en la que para mí, es  una de las mejores historias  de Superman de todos los tiempos: Superman for all seasons, de Jeph Loeb y Tim Sale.
No soy muy afecto al estilo de Sale, pero creo que aquí, al menos inconscientemente, me influyo en la estructura corporal del personaje, más ancho y con menos líneas, al igual que el fondo. Espero que les guste.

I did this drawing based in Superman for all seasons, one of the best Superman books ever. The story was published in 1998, and it is from one of the best Superman authors, Jeph Loeb, and penciller, Tim Sale. I am not a Sale fan, but I can see now how his pencils affected me in this drawing. I hope you like it.

Hilltop Hero 8

Este es el octavo capítulo del comic que hice y que fue publicado en el diario de la St. Edwards University. Si no me equivoco fue el último que hice ese año, antes de las vacaciones. Luego retomé la historia al año siguiente. En estos dos últimos comics, nuestro héroe se da cuenta que no puede seguir siendo un agente del status quo (algo que le pasa a muchos superhéroes) y decide transformarse en una especie de defensor de la justicia social (al menos por estos capítulos, jajajaja). Espero que lo disfruten.

This is the last chapter of the comic I did for the St. Edward´s University newspaper, before the summer break. I try to add to the story a lot of social problems, because I was taking a class at the university that made me very aware of the injustices of capitalism. I hope you like it.

Classic Superman

Hice este dibujo hace ya varios años, pero fue enviado a la revista especializada Wizard, de Estados Unidos y fue elegido, por lo que gané un premio y una "critica" de los maestros Adam y Andy Kubert. Espero que lo disfruten.

I did this drawing a long time ago, and it won a prize in the magazine Wizard and the master storytellers, Andy and Adam Kubert gave me some advice. I hope you like it.

Pienso que acá es cuando empecé a agarrarle un poco la mano al dibujo y al guión, ya que el ejercicio y la práctica me ayudaron a aumentar la velocidad requerida para cumplir con los plazos de publicación que tenía. Crack Bang Boom, the biggest comic book convention of Argentina took place on june in Rosario. In this picture you can see some of the special guest of the convention: C.B. I did this drawing a log time ago. It has influences from the great Superman penciler of the 90s, John Bogdanove and the amazing Jim Lee.
